About Krystal Glass

I have been in love with photography since I can recall. When I was young, I would sit on my grandma’s bed rummaging through all the old family photos. I was that girl in school who always had a camera in hand.

My freshmen year in high school, I lost my best friend/grandma in a tragic school van accident. She was a driver for handicap children and was killed instantly by a logging truck when she took a right hand turn to go up a driveway. It was God’s will that she was only beginning her morning schedule and there were no kids in the van.

This was a hard time for me, but also a silver lining when I realized life is too precious and short not to have family photos. I drew inspiration from a photograph of my grandma in her majorette uniform doing a cartwheel. You can’t even see her face, but something about that particular photo inspired me to pursue a professional career in photography.

Every family should have lasting memories of their loved ones. I am blessed with a beautiful 2 year old daughter and loving husband. They are my subjects more often than I’m sure they’d like but every image is special. Our lives are too fragile not to capture those precious moments.

I’ve been a professional photographer for over 12 years. My career started at Lifetouch Photography where I was an award winning photographer with the pleasure to capture countless families through each stage of their lives. After 5 years, I branched out on my own so I could develop a more personal relationship with the families and not be restricted by the corporate life. The Great Pacific Northwest has been my home for the last 8 years. We live in the richest region with beautiful seasons and enchanting scenery and I am proud to call it my home.
